Pengait
I can’t believe how stupid some people can/allow themselves to be. Dear lord. Via ShitSoil, I came across this article about singer Monica. You all know her yes?
Emphasis mine:
As far as the look and feel of Brunei and its people, Monica said the differences between that country and the United States are “tremendous”. “This is a place where they are still beheading people,” Monica said, “So you walk around however you want and just enjoy the scenery. People are very respectful and pleasant.” So much so that Monica was greeted with an “incredible 12 karat ring with a mixture of diamonds and colorful jewels.”
I feel as though my brain has dissolved into oblivion with sheer exasperation.
Yes, more than one post in a day? I really am nervous for tonight.

“I really am nervous for tonight.”
Well don’t lose your head over it.

What?! Grr.. *off with her head!* Ha. Who the heck ever told her that we behead people in the first place? Didn’t they say that pengaits were non-locals back then?
Maybe she meant “beheading” lain kali. Is there any other definition to that than chopping one’s head off? LOL.

well maybe beheading as in, IF YOU GO AGAINST THE ROYAL FAMILY YOU WILL BE BEHEADED or something. But still.. that is really stupid. She made it sound like we casually go around this jungle of a country of ours with chainsaws and behead people for messing our family honour or something.

Maybe what she meant by “beheaded” is Capital Punishment?
Nonnie, pengait is a noun use to describe those who cut heads off for cultural purposes.
GOOD LUCK POR TUNAIT!

Malaysian Prince??? This is BRUNEI! We’re not under Malaysian government! APALAH! Sometimes I hate the press for not being able to get the facts right. STUPID journalists. A shame.
Anyway, what’s the deal with the whole beheading people?? We’re not cavemen for godsake although I admit people are quite dense here. We dont go running around with axes and beheading our fellow neighbours. Pahh! I hate celebrities too. They’re so wrapped up in their own worlds its disgusting.
Anyway, dont mind me. I may not be patriotic but I can be defensive. Good luck fer tonyt Mau!! Break a leg! Or both. Nyehahaha~
